Üftade Lodge and Mosque

02/14/2024 /Posted bykolan.adm / 851

Üftade Lodge, a group of buildings located on the upper Uludağ foothills of the Pınarbaşı district, was built by Mehmed Muhyiddin Üftade in the 16th century. In Üftade Social Complex; There is a masjid, semahane, harem, straw house, and fountain. Samahane, located under the same roof as the masjid, is used as the final congregation place. The greeting hall, which should have been located in the north of the Semahane, has not survived to the present day. Inside the Çilehane, there are many of Üftade’s personal belongings and the tambourines used for the sema.

Work was carried out in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of Foundations, the Preservation and Sustainment Association and Osmangazi Municipality for the restoration of the building owned by the foundations. The transportation difficulties in the region, where the most visited places in terms of religious tourism are located, have been minimized with the works carried out by the Municipality.
